Residential Property Prices Are Up 1.3% Nationwide For September

New figures from the CSO (Central Statistics Office) show that the price of residential properties has risen nationwide by 1.3 per cent for the month of September.

Unfortunately for people across the country who are still stuck in negative equity, the report also shows that prices remain 34.6 per cent lower than their peak in 2007 and that the increase in price is gradually slowing.

Indeed, the new figures show the slowest annual rate of increase since June 2013.

However, they are on the rise, with property prices in Dublin up by 0.9 per cent in September compared to August, and are 6.5 per cent higher than the same period last year.

Outside of the capital, prices rose by 1.6 per cent in September compared to the month previous – an 11.4 per cent increase on the same period last year.
