The 10-year-old will undergo surgery tomorrow.

The mother of Toy Show star Saoírse Ruane has asked fans to keep her daughter in their thoughts as she faces surgery to remove a tumour in her lung.

Roseanne shared an update with her followers on social media, in which she explained that she met with her 10-year-old daughter’s doctors last week, who informed her of the news. However, at her daughter’s request, she kept this information to herself until after Saoírse’s appearance on the Late Late Show.

The young girl made a special appearance on the show to sing the lead song from the upcoming Toy Show Musical alongside RuthAnne

She wrote that this allowed Saoírse to have a “wonderful night”, and to feel very special.

The post continued: “As a result of our meeting on Friday Saoírse is to have surgery to remove her tumour this coming Tuesday.

“The tears rolled down our cheeks as we sat and listened to the risks involved but we have faith in our team and we leave them now to take care of our very special girl.

“This to us is major surgery so we are very frightened. This to Saoírse is ultimately ‘the fight of her life’.”

She added: “We ask you to please keep Saoírse in your hearts as we go forward now & take this first step in a long road to keep her where she truly belongs…here with us.”

In April, Roseanne shared the sad news that her daughter’s cancer had returned.

She wrote: “We just don’t have the words for you all, we are simply heartbroken! We knew this day COULD come but we did our utmost to park it in the back of our minds as much as possible, be positive, be grateful and get on with our lives.

“I feel physically sick writing this and can’t emphasise enough to you all (our amazing friends, followers and supporters) life is SO SO unbelievably precious!

“We would ask for all your prayers at this time while we along with our amazing oncologist and team figure out the road map to this next journey.

“Saoírse (being Saoírse) is being incredibly brave and we as a family ask that you give us time now to comprehend this devastating news!”
