Six teenagers travelling in a stolen car were arrested in Co Louth last night, following a three-car collision.

The accident happened in Termonfeckin village yesterday evening, at around 7:15 pm. Gardaí confirmed that the Mercedes C180 was stolen from Drogheda on Monday, according to the Irish Mirror.

It is thought that the Mercedes crashed in the middle of the village, after trying to overtake a Ford car. While attempting to overtake, the Mercedes mounted a foothath and struck a wall.

It then bounced back onto the road and crashed into the Ford B-Max which then collided with a Toyota land cruiser.

The driver of the Ford car was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Six teenagers, all male from Co Louth, were arrested and brought to Drogheda garda station.
