Six-Year-Old Boy In Stable Condition After Being Shot In The Neck In Ballyfermot

Gardaí have appealed for information after a six-year-old boy was shot in the neck in Dublin last night.

The incident occurred shortly after 10pm, when the child received what is believed to be a gunshot wound to his neck.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are not yet known but according to The Irish Times, gardaí are investigating whether two gunmen approached the house and fired shots into the hallway or the child found the firearm in the area and had been playing with it.

The tragic event took place at the Croftwood Gardens in Ballyfermot and the boy is now believed to be in a stable condition in hospital.
