The main draw's jackpot was worth a staggering €48.5 million - and while nobody won the top prize, 40,000 players in Ireland did win prizes. However, EuroMillions players in Ireland had better luck in the EuroMillions Plus draw, which has a jackpot of €500,000. The winner numbers were 5, 6, 26, 48 and 49. The National Lottery have confirmed the winning ticket was sold in Dublin. However, an exact location has not been specified just yet. The winner is the 26th winner of the EuroMillions Plus prize this year, and the latest in a whole string of lucky winners this month. The winning streak began on Tuesday, October 8 when a player in Dublin scooped up the EuroMillions Plus' top prize; before someone in Cork won the same prize on Friday, October 11. Then, on Tuesday, October 15, a player who purchased their ticket in Dublin also won the top prize; before someone in Limerick won the prize a few days later on Friday, October 18. According to Extra, the ticket was sold at Twohig’s SuperValu store in Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick on October 11. Michael Twohig, the owner of the store, told he publication how everyone at the store was "over the moon for the lucky winner, whoever they may be."
