Uh oh.
Met Éireann have issued a thunder warning for 16 counties ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.
The orange caution is in place from 3pm on Friday until 10pm the same night.
It effects Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Wexford, Wicklow, Westmeath, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Cork, and Tipperary.
Forecasters say that there will be localised severe thunderstorm activity in the areas for the next few hours, with torrential downpours and lightning strikes.
Meanwhile, a status yellow warning is in place for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.
Met Éireann have said that there will be high intensity rainfall and scattered thunderstorms, which will lead to spot flooding in some parts of the country.
There will be between as much as 25 and 50 mm of rainfall locally in short periods.
And while the rest of the weekend is set to be warm, it’s looking like it will be equally as wet.
Saturday will be mainly dry for the start of the day, before heavy or thundery showers will develop over the northern half of the country through the day.
There may be a little light rain near southwest coasts, with temperatures hitting as high as 22C.
While Sunday will be humid and warm, a few showers will develop later on in the day – most likely in the west and north.
Temperatures will hit highs of 23C.
