UPDATE: Sudanese woman who was freed from death row on Monday has been arrested with her family at Khartoum airport, according to BBC News.
The news comes after Meriam Ibrahim, who was sentenced to death by hanging after converting to Christianity, was freed yesterday by a Sudanese court order.
According to reports from the official state news agency in Sudan, Ibrahim was released by court order after the ruling of her death sentence sparked outrage internationally. Sudan's SUNA news agency said: "The appeal court ordered the release of Mariam Yahya and the cancellation of the (previous) court ruling."
The court had promised Ms. Ibrahim's husband, Daniel Wani, that they were debating the case but apparently had promised to free her.
Ms. Ibrahim gave birth in prison just a month ago where she had apparently been held in chains. She was also taking care of her other child in prison who is just 20 months old. Meriam is also solely responsible for the care of her husband who is in a wheelchair.
According to the court ruling, Ms. Ibrahim was also due to receive 100 lashes before her execution by hanging.
Despite a judge claiming she could be freed if she renounced her faith, Meriam refused to change her religion.
An Amnesty International campaign has followed Ms Ibrahim's for the last month while a Change.org online petition has received more than 980,000 signatures.
