He wasn’t wasting time anyway.
It’s been confirmed this morning that Taoiseach Enda Kenny has reached out to Donald Trump and the two have subsequently arranged for him to visit the new President.
In a statement released by the Government Press Office it states that Enda Kenny and Mr Trump spoke for ten minutes on the phone last night.
Enda congratulated him on his electoral success and made a committment to working for the mutual benefit of the US and Ireland.
They also confirmed that they will honour the long standing invitation of the Taoiseach visiting The White House for St Patrick’s Day with Enda expected to travel over next March.
