Teenage cyclist seriously injured after getting hit by a bus in Dublin last night

A teenage girl is in a serious condition after getting hit by a bus in South Dublin.

The incident occurred just before 8pm last night (Sep 28) on Kimmage Road West in Terenure with emergency services getting called to the scene urgently.

The young girl was taken to St James's Hospital where her injuries have been deemed serious. The girl is reported to be still in the hospital getting treated with no further update made since.

The road was closed for hours following the incident as Gardaí carried out an investigation. Dublin Bus also had diversions in place for the night.
