A teenage boy has died after falling from his horse into a river in County Cork.RTÉ News reports that the boy, believed to be 16 years old, was pronounced dead at Cork University Hospital this morning.
The emergency services were called out to an area in Glanmire at approximately 6.30pm on Saturday evening after the alarm was raised by the boy's two friends.
They eventually found the teenager who was said to have suffered injuries in the fall and was submerged in the water for some time.
