According to TMZ, Warner has died as a result of an accidental drowning.
Malcolm‑Jamal Warner was a prominent figure in The Cosby Show, in which he played Theodore Huxtable, locking in his spot as TV royalty.
He also appeared in the hit sitcom Malcolm & Eddie, lent his voice to one of the coolest animated shows, The Magic School Bus, and even showed off his musical talent with a Grammy win in 2015.
The actor was also well-known for his role in the medical drama The Resident.
Most recently, he was hosting the podcast Not All Hood. His latest episode dropped just three days ago.
Malcolm‑Jamal leaves behind a wife and daughter. He was 54.
Many famous faces have paid tribute to the actor since his untimely passing.
Actor Morris Chestnut wrote, "Heartbroken to hear about the passing of Malcolm-Jamal Warner. Working alongside him on The Resident was an honor. He brought so much depth, warmth, and wisdom to every scene and every conversation. One of the nicest in the business. Rest easy, brother. Your legacy lives on."
Tracee Ellis Ross added, "I love you, Malcolm. First, I met you as Theo with the rest of the world, then you were my first TV husband. My heart is so so sad.
She continued, "What an actor and friend you were: warm, gentle, present, kind, thoughtful, deep, funny, elegant. You made the world a brighter place. Sending so much love to your family. I'm so sorry for this unimaginable loss."
