The Long Goodbye: Sports Pundit George Hook Announces His Retirement

Broadcaster and sports pundit George Hook has announced his retirement from television and radio. Hook said that he will finish his television work after the 2015 Rugby World Cup, and then end his Newstalk radio show, The Right Hook, in September, 2016. The 72-year-old tweeted to his 87,000 followers;

He then added;

Hook has been with Newstalk since its beginning in 2002 and he published his autobiography Time Added On in 2005. He and his wife Ingrid have three children and six grandchildren.
