The woman who had sex with a dog avoids jail time

Cassie Delaney

Last week, an Australian woman Jenna Louise Driscoll was on trial for having sex with a pitbull terrier. The 27-year-old woman admitted to bestiality in Brisbane District Court.

The case came about when police were investigating the woman for separate charges in 2014 and came across disturbing footage of the act. When she appeared at a court hearing in 2014 she was accompanied by a man and the dog.

At that hearing she plead guilty but said that she did it at the request of a former partner.

According to Metro, RSPCA Queensland said:

“This isn’t something you’d normally expect, it’s quite unusual.

“Under the Animal Care Protection Act bestiality isn’t included. To take action and remove the dog we would have to prove actions there were cruel or that it was tormented.

“The RSPCA would ideally like to get a dog out of the situation if bestiality was happening, but to operate under the act we would have to prove those two things.”

“We’d try to do everything we can to help the dog if that is the case.”

Today it has been confirmed that Jenna will avoid jail time after she told a psychologist that the incident had ruined her life.

“I very much regret what I’ve done,” said the woman.

Judge Terry Martin remarked that the offences were “repugnant.”

“In the context of your partner wanting to be aroused by watching such appalling conduct,” he added. “You were clearly a willing participant in acts of sexual intercourse with the dog.”
