Time to check those tickets.

There’s a new millionaire in Ireland today after someone scooped up the top prize in last night’s Lotto draw.

The winner matched all of the numbers – as well as the bonus – in the main draw, winning themselves the €2,895,277 jackpot.

The lucky numbers for the main draw were 5, 21, 25, 29, 41 and 43 with a bonus of 31.

Only one player had the digits to score the €2.8 million prize – and the lucky ticket was sold in Cavan.

Lotto bosses confirmed the news on Twitter on Wednesday night.

They said:

“WINNER ALERT!! Congratulations a ticket sold in Co. has matched all 6 numbers drawn to win tonight’s Jackpot of €2,895,277. Who’s feeling lucky??”

Players in the area are being urged to check their tickets to see if they won the prize.

Meanwhile, in the Lotto Plus 1, the numbers drawn were 17, 20, 31, 34, 38, 43 and the bonus of 35.

And the digits that came up in the Lotto Plus 2 were 1, 4, 11, 23, 46, 47 and the bonus of 40.

Sadly, nobody managed to win the top prize – €500,000 and €250,000 respectively – in either draw.

However, 76 people won the Raffle Prize of €300 each. The winning number was 9441.

And, just in case you fancy giving it a shot, the jackpot on Saturday night is going to be worth an estimated €2 million.
