A grieving mother in Co Down has been reunited with a laptop containing the last photos of her deceased nine-year-old daughter following a public appeal.
Chloe McCance passed away earlier this month following a long fight against Batten Disease but her parents were dealt a further blow when a laptop containing photos of their daughter and details of her funeral was stolen from their home.
Lynda McCance and partner Kevin Rees made a public appeal earlier this week in the hope of recovering the sentimental items, telling UTV that the thieves "had gone through all Chloe's drawers" and found the laptop, which had been left plugged in to charge, behind an arrangement of sympathy cards and flowers.
"I don't care if we catch who done it. I just wish someone would hand it in and say they found it. No questions asked," said Lynda.
Fortunately, Lynda has since taken to Facebook to confirm that the laptop had now been returned and thanked those "who has shared my posts, sent messages, donated money and everything else. You have all helped give me that little bit off faith that there is decent people out there... I now have my laptop back in my possession".
