Water protestors heckled President Michael D Higgins as he left a Coláiste Eoin secondary school in Finglas.
Video footage has emerged that shows President Higgin’s car being surrounded by angry protestors as Gardaí attempted to hold back the group.
The 73-year-old, who was attending the school’s 50th anniversary celebrations, was called a “little midget parasite” and “traitor” by hecklers.
The footage uploaded by Edenmore SAYSNO claims that Gardaí behaviour was unprofessional and that "they just aren't meant to deal with the public".
