Having been asked to take a breathalyser test it was confirmed the 31-year-old had 104 milligrams of alcohol for every 100ml of blood in the body – nearly three times the legal limit.

According to the BBC, the Stockport Magistrates’ Court saw Wayne plead guilty to the offense and as a result he has been ordered to perform 100 hours of unpaid community service as part of a 12-month community order.

He has also been required to pay £170 by the court while his solicitor stated that the former footballer expects to be penalised by Everton too which will amount to £300,000 – or two weeks wages for the footballer.
