The weather forecast for the rest of the week is looking absolutely incredible

The good weather is here to stay - for now, at least.

After a recent spell of sunny days, it looks like Ireland is in for another good 'mini-heatwave'. Met Éireann are forecasting temperatures as high as 22C in some areas of the country between now and Monday. Today will be a mostly dry, sunny and warm day - with temperatures hitting 22C in some areas of the country. It will be a little cooler along the eastern coasts, though, with 15C to 17C forecast due to onshore winds. According to Met Éireann forecasters, it will be dry tonight with clear skies - and the lowest temperatures reaching 6C. Meanwhile, Thursday will be another warm day - with temperatures reaching highs of 18C to 22C. But while the day will start off sunny, cloud will build in the afternoon and a few isolated heavy showers will develop in the south before dying out on Thursday night. Once again on Friday, it will be another fairly warm and sunny day - with a chance of showers in the east and south. The temperatures will reach as high as 22C in some parts of the country, but some moderate northerly breezes will make it feel cooler on exposed coasts. And the good weather will continue into Saturday, with humid highs of 22C - but between 16C to 17C in eastern coastal areas. Most places throughout the country will continue to be sunny, with a few showers in the east and south - before a greater chance of a few heavy and thundery showers on Saturday night. The humid and warm weather will continue into Sunday and Monday, with temperatures forecast in the low-to-mid 20's . Many places will be dry, but some thundery outbreaks could happen.
