Woman arrested after three-year-old rushed to hospital in Dublin

Gardaí are continuing to investigate an incident at a home in Shankill, Co Dublin after a child was rushed to hospital yesterday evening.

The three-year-old was taken to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin after a call came through to emergency services at around 4:15 pm.

Reports say that the child is now in an induced coma and her condition is thought to be stable.

According to RTÉ, a woman in her 40s was arrested and is being held at a garda station on the south side of Dublin city.

The house in the Shankill area has been sealed off by Gardaí and will be technically examined.
