A 25-year-old woman is on trial at Chester Crown Court this week, where she stands accused of five counts of sexual assault.
The alleged victim is a young woman who claims that she discovered her "boyfriend" of two years was actually a female friend. The woman said she made the shocking discovery when she removed a blindfold during sex.
The complainant told the court she believed she was having sex with a man called Kye Fortune. She has met "Kye" online and "he" told her he was recovering from a brain tumour and did not want her to see his scars.
She said she then agreed to wear a blindfold during sexual encounters, but claims she eventually discovered it was actually her friend Gayle Newland, who was wearing a prosthetic penis during their liaisons.
Newland denies the charges.
The alleged victim told how she received a Facebook friend request in 2011 from "Kye Fortune". In the early stages of the relationship, he claimed he was having treatment in hospital and was not well enough to see her, the young woman claimed.

She added that the pair spoke regularly on the phone and described Kye's voice as high-pitched.
Eventually the couple decided to meet at a hotel, according to the complainant. She told police that she agreed to wear the blindfold because Kye was "anxious about the way he looked".
The woman claims sexual intercourse took place on five occasions in all, before she removed the blindfold on the event of what she says was their final encounter, discovering the truth.
She told police: "When I was having sex I grabbed for the back of his head and my hand got caught on something. It did not feel right.
"I was sat on the bed, he was standing up. Something in my mind said 'pull it (the blindfold) off, pull it off'. I just pulled it off. Gayle was just standing there... I just couldn't believe it, I couldn't believe it. Straight away she held her hand down over her face and said 'it's not what you think'."
