A woman fell to her death in Ibiza on Tuesday evening when she lost her balance on the edge of a cliff.
According to the Periódico de Ibiza, Dimitrina Dimitrova’s boyfriend had arranged a romantic proposal on the cliff at Cala Tarida at sunset.
The 29-year-old was reportedly so overcome with emotion that she jumped for joy and tragically lost her balance, falling 65 feet to her death.
Reports state that she initially survived the fall but later suffered a heart attack as a result of her injuries.
“Everything is pointing towards the death being the result of a tragic freak accident,” a spokesperson for the Civil Guard told the Daily Mail.
“She fell seconds after her partner surprised her by proposing to her as she jumped up and down with emotion," a source told the paper.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
