A spokesperson for the Mater Hospital confirmed the news: “I can confirm a woman has been admitted to the National Isolation Unit in the Mater Hospital at a low level. Every precaution is being taken”.
Ebola can only be spread through contact with an infected person’s bodily fluids and isn’t transmissible by air.
