Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman's body at an apartment in Finglas, RTÉ reports.
He has been taken to Finglas Garda Station where he is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Members of the force attended the scene in Charelstown in the northwestern suburb earlier this morning.
It appears the woman, who was in her 30s suffered serious injuries, and Gardaí suspect that she might have died violently. Officers are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
The woman's body remains at the scene and the property is being preserved as a crime scene. The State Pathologist's Office has been informed of the discovery.
A forensic examination of the scene by the Garda Technical Bureau is due to be carried out.
