Picking a song for your first dance is one of the most romantic decisions you'll make ahead of your wedding day.
It's far more charming than picking what starter your guests likely won't eat or deciding where your cousins you never see will sit.
A new survey by HenParty.ie has revealed Ireland’s favourite first dance wedding song.
If you've been to a wedding in the last year, then there's no doubt the newlyweds danced to At Last by Etta James or something similar, but Irish couples are opting for more homegrown talent this wedding season.
According to the survey, The One by Kodaline is the most popular first dance song in Ireland.
With 16% of total votes, Dublin-based band Kodaline was a hit with newlyweds. In second place was the beautiful Dreams by The Cranberries, which is our personal favourite.
In third place is Can't Take My Eyes Off You by Frankie Valli of the Four Seasons.
When asked about the results, Kate Hyde, founder of HenParty.ie, said:
"Every wedding is unique to the couple, but there are some first dance songs that are so perfect they reappear time and time again.
"It’s easy to see why these three songs are the most popular, too, and from the feedback we received it was great to hear many couples like to get their guests involved in their first dance song."
