The summer months may be popular for tying the knot, but there's nothing quite like an autumn wedding.
Getting married during the cooler (and calmer) 'ber months is our dream, mainly because we won't melt in our wedding gúna, but this time of year is supposedly very lucky for couples.
An astrologist recently revealed that one of the luckiest days of the year to get married is just around the corner.
Any September brides will be delighted to know that September 21st has been revealed as one of the luckiest days to get married.
Astrologer Inbaal Honigman told Heart Bingo:
"The 21st of September is a very magical day, seen as the Autumn Equinox, which is the day of equal light and dark. This is a great day for marriages as it's when the dark half of the year and the light half of the year meet, encouraging duality and equality.
"It also happens to fall on a new moon and a solar eclipse, increasing its potency and making it an ideal day for magical new beginnings."
A report by the CSO recently revealed that August was the most popular time of year for Irish couples to get married.
January was the least popular month to tie the knot, which is no surprise when you consider how gloomy it is.
The average couple is spending between €25,000 and €36,000 on their weddings in Ireland.
