When it comes to women in sport, a culture shift is underway here in Ireland. The 20×20 campaign has captured the minds and hearts of the nation and it’s well on its way to reaching the goal of having 20% more female participation, media coverage and attendance at women’s games by 2020.
Since launching last year, we’ve seen athletes from across the nation stand up, show their stripes and pledge to do more and now it’s our turn!
On the very first episode of PlayXPlay, Irish international Louise Quinn joins with a sore head fresh from celebrating Arsenal women’s Super League success on Sunday. The panel also dissects Sinead Diver’s outrageous performance at the London Marathon and delves into the murky world of gender testing.
