When news spread back in December that Rihanna was to stage her first ever catwalk collection as part of her collaboration with high street store River Island, we have to admit we didn’t really have high hopes.
And if we’re being brutally honest, the collection itself wasn’t great. Featuring plenty of lycra, thigh-high splits and crop tops it was a bit samey and was far from innovative but what made it one of the must see shows of LFW was the draw of Rihanna herself.
From the celeb packed FROW to the soundtrack, the show was pure Ri-Ri and it felt like the catwalk was missing her.
