British Vogue has planned a major (and welcome) change for its new issue

This is GREAT.

British Vogue has something planned for its November issue.

The style bible’s new issue is going to be model-free with ‘real women’ featuring on its pages.

According to The Telegraph, the ‘Real Women’ issue will feature charity and creative directors, a historian, and businesswomen with award-winning actress Emily Blunt posing on the front cover.

Speaking to the publication, editor Alexandra Shulman explained the thinking behind the ‘Real Women’ concept:

“I feel strongly that women who are in positions of authority or power, or who work in professions should be able to indulge their interest in clothes and fashion without it seeming frivolous or that they don’t care about their jobs enough”.

Considering that the theme of the issue is real women, some have questioned the decision to put a major Hollywood star on the cover.

However, Shulman is prepared for this criticism and says that Emily expresses a “real-life attitude”, while also playing a relatable character in her new film The Girl On The Train.

Since 1992, Shulman has headed up the iconic publication and has a refreshing attitude to body image, veering away from covering cosmetic surgery and diets.
