CoverGirl has just announced that 17-year-old James Charles will be their latest spokesperson, making it the first time they have ever had a male representative.
Even though James is still in high school he’s already ammassed over 400,000 followers on Instagram who eagerly wait for his updates on the latest beauty trend every day.
He posted a picture from his CoverGirl shoot saying;
“I am so beyond excited and overwhelmed and happy and astonished and of course, SHOOK, to announce that I am the newest face of @covergirl. First ever male ambassador for the brand and I am so honored and excited to be working with such an iconic brand. I started my Instagram one year ago to inspire others and as an artistic outlet to challenge myself creatively.”
Former CoverGirl Katy Perry was there to support the new ambassador.

A spokesperson for CoverGirl told the Huffington Post:
“All of our COVERGIRLs are role models and boundary-breakers, fearlessly expressing themselves, standing up for what they believe, and redefining what it means to be beautiful,’ said CoverGirl in a press release.
