Time to meet our Her Best Dressed 2021 winners!

As Ladies Day at the Galway Races comes to a close, we can finally reveal this year Her Best Dressed winners!

It was an actioned packed day up in Galway and all around the country, as this year we received a huge number of entries from those taking part both virtually and those who were at the Galway races.

We received a huge number of entries this year and judge Louise O’Reilly, known on Instagram as @stylemecurvy, had the huge task of choosing our winners.

Hayley Coleman from Mayo took home this year’s Her Best Dressed crown. Striking the perfect balance between chic tailoring and eye-catching accessories, Hayley’s stunning dress, designed by Kevan Jon, was from Harper Galway, while her bag and shoes were from TK Maxx.

Her striking Tina Hemlock crown headpiece finished off the look, featuring hand crafted rose gold flowers and neutral feathers to finish.

As well as being awarded the prestigious Her Best Dressed accolade, Hayley took home a two night deluxe stay at Fota Island Resort and Spa including dinner, breakfast and spa treatments.

Melissa McGirr from Tyrone is this year’s Her Best Hat winner, after turning heads with her striking Ashleigh Myles creation. Melissa really embraced sustainability this year, as her winning hat was an orange spiked cable ties headpiece, made from over 300 hand-painted recycled cable ties on a base of orange brocade fabric.

Melissa is walking away with a luxury two night stay at Wineport Lodge in Westmeath, including a lake view room, prosecco on arrival, dinner and spa thermal access.

A huge thanks to Fota Island Resort and Wine Port Lodge for providing such wonderful prizes for our stylish winners.

Speaking about this year’s competition, judge Louise O’Reilly said: “It was so wonderful to see everyone take part today both virtually and at the Galway races and I’m beyond thrilled to have been the judge this year.

“It was such a difficult task narrowing down even a top 5, yet alone picking a winner! The sense of style was truly fabulous and I was really impressed by the attention to detail from everyone.”
