Now we rarely need an excuse to hit the shops but after hearing this news, we’re 100 per cent clearing our diaries for April 10th.
This is the date that fashion company Bestseller will launch a world-wide charity initiative which will include all of their brands in a number of countries.
Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin is the designated charity for the Irish campaign and on April 10th, 50 per cent of the company’s net turnover that day will go towards improving the hospital’s radiology department.
This will enable the hospital to purchase costly radiography equipment, which will reduce the radiation dose given to each child as well as improving x-ray imagery.
The remaining 50% raised will go towards a global charity chosen by Bestseller, the company behind JACK & JONES, VERO MODA, VILA, ONLY, SELECTED HOMME, PIECES ACCESSORIES, ONLY & SONS, Noisy May, and First and I.

Speaking about the campaign, Sarah O’Suilleabhain, Corporate Development Manager at CMRF Crumlin said: “CMRF Crumlin, the principle fundraising body for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin and The National Children’s Research Centre, is incredibly grateful to Bestseller for choosing to fundraise for us with their Give-A-Day campaign on April 10th.
“We are driven by our belief that every sick child deserves every chance. The support of Bestseller and its stores nationwide will help us to continue our work of upgrading facilities, purchasing cutting edge equipment and funding pioneering research for the radiology department”.
