Kate Middleton’s Ascot outfit looks very like a wedding dress

It's very similar to the dress she wore last year!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended Ascot today and as per usual, there was a lot of chat about Kate’s outfit.

Here at the Her desk, it puts us in mind of a vintage wedding look, the midi style which has become so popular in recent times.

The high neck, slip and intricate lace detail make for an elegant ensemble, fitting in with the mother of two’s trademark style.

It has been noted that the royal opted for a dress very similar to last year’s Dolce & Gabanna design although this year, it’s an Alexander McQueen piece (fast becoming one of her all-time favourites, after another McQueen outfit for Trooping the Colour on Saturday).

In fact, at first look, some thought she was wearing the exact same dress as last year and if she was, fair play to her, nothing wrong with recycling a fab outfit which Kate has been known to do in the past.

If you have a look at last year’s outfit below, you’ll note that for her second year attending Ascot, she went for a similar option, only making small changes with a different headpiece and a slightly shorter skirt.

What do you think of Kate’s style? Are you a fan or do you wish she would try something completely different?
