They withdrew the items after backlash from family members of a number of the artists.

She also said that neither the family nor the estate of Notorious BIG were contacted about using his likeness.

Julian K Petty, a lawyer for the artist's estate, sent a cease-and-desist letter yesterday, threatening to pursue legal if the t-shirts continued to be sold, reports the Guardian.
"This is misappropriation at its finest,” he said. “I’m curious to hear the justification. I’m even more curious to hear the proposed resolution."
Sharon Osbourne, ex-wife of Ozzy Osbourne, also weighed in on Twitter.

The sisters have since released a statement on their Twitter accounts, apologising for the collection.
"These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologise to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists," the statement reads.
