Iris Apfel is a fashion designer, interior designer and business woman from New York.
She is an icon to many people in the world of design and fashion, and an inspiration to anyone who believes in living life to the fullest.

She has had an exhibition dedicated to her at the Metropolitan Museum of Art entitled Rara Avis (Rare Bird): The Irreverent Iris Apfel which was hugely successful. She has lectured on fashion and style and was listed as one of the best-dressed over 50 by The Guardian.
She has been long known in the fashion industry for being a bit of a legend, but since a documentary about her was released on Netflix, she’s gotten plenty of new fans.
The film is a heartwarming, hilarious look at her flamboyant colourful life.
But it is so much more than a fashion film as its colourful description proves: “the documentary is a story about creativity and how, even in Iris’ dotage, a soaring free spirit continues to inspire.”
It gives us an insight into her long life with her wonderfully supportive husband and gives us an insight into how she chooses her extravagant looks.

Despite the abundance of glamour in her current life, she continues to embrace the values and work ethic established during a middle-class Queens upbringing during the Great Depression.”
Now the fashionista has her own line of emojis. These include everything from makeup to drinks to some of her favourite sayings.
In a statement about the emoji’s being released Iris said:
“I’m a little old for emojis and I didn’t know what they were, but everyone seems to like them, and I want everyone to have a good time.
If my face makes people happy, I’m all for it.”
