This jewellery trend is all over Instagram (and Meghan Markle is a fan)

Have you spotted it yet?

Layer for days.

Instagram is fast becoming our favourite social media platform because it’s ridiculously pretty, it keeps us up to date with all the latest trends and you’ll find style, travel, interiors and beauty tips here if you scroll hard enough.

If you’re a bit of a magpie, you may have noticed that there’s one jewellery trend that seems to crop up time after time.

Layering is key and while it’s not a new idea, it’s becoming even more popular in recent times with one brand popping up again and again on our Insta feeds.

Meghan Markle is said to be a long-time fan of Missoma, while Claudia Schiffer and Jennifer Lopez have been previously spotted sporting pieces from their various lines.

It’s also a favourite with style mavens, often worn by major fashion bloggers including Emma Hill and Lucy Williams, who’s even teamed up to co-design a collection.

Despite that, it’s managed to stay under the radar as a ‘cool’ brand and it’s only in recent times that it’s getting so much attention.

Missoma is big into what’s termed ‘demi-fine’ jewellery in the industry, this basically means fine jewellery but at more affordable price points which is part of why it’s becoming so popular with the fashion set.

The brand’s creative director Marisa Hordern has collected gemstones since she was five years old and this was part of the inspiration for the latest collection, Meaningful Gemstones, which aims to tap into mindfulness as well as simply looking pretty.

Layering has become a major jewellery trend in recent years and why wear one necklace when you can wear three together?

You can see the layering in action below and the best thing about this particular trend is you can adjust it to your individual style by mixing metals, gems, lengths etc to come up with your own signature look.
