Doctors have told a 21-year old woman that her bodycon dress saved her life, after the car she was travelling in was struck by a cement mixer.
Zoe Turner was travelling a taxi when it was hit by a cement mixer, and now hospital staff say the £35 dress she wore saved her life by acting like a corset. Doctors told the stunned woman how the tight dress has kept her bones in place – preventing them from puncturing her organs.
Speaking about the incident, Zoe said:
“I couldn’t believe my dress saved my life. That’s the best £35 I’ve ever spent. Although I didn’t come off lightly, the end result could have been a lot worse.
“The pain and restriction my dress was causing was unbearable – I am lucky to be alive.”
She added:
“The doctors told me that if I hadn’t worn such a tight dress which held in place my bones as the car impacted, I would have most definitely punctured vital organs as my bones went out of place.’
The driver of the taxi suffered a broken neck, while Zoe’s three friends survived with broken arms, eye sockets and a smashed pelvis.
