No More Ladders! This Tip Promises To Make Your Tights Last That Much Longer
With the start of September, we’re noticing a chill in the weather, which means no more bare legs.
While we love our tights, we’re not such a fan of ladders and pulled threads, which usually leaves us in the queue at the tills in Penneys.

So now there’s a trick that promises to save you a small fortune – by making your tights super strength and (nearly) ladder resistance.
So how do you get the most out of those nylons?
- Run your tights under a cold tap until they are soaked through, and then rinse out in the sink.
- Place the wet tights into a sandwich bag (or a plastic carrier bag if you’re planning on bulk strengthening), and place them in the freezer for three hours.
- Finally, remove the tights and allow them to thaw at room temperature.

While it probably won’t make them last forever, it will give you a longer shelf-life (which is always good news).
A tip we’re definitely taking on board for our patterned favourites!
