Crack open the bubbly ladies, we have a winner!

Ladies fashion is always a highlight at Longines Irish Champions Weekend. Famous for its colour and style, you’re guaranteed to see the most fabulous and OTT ensembles. This weekend will see two style events taking place – the Longines Prize for Elegance and the Moët & Chandon Champion Hat.

The Longines Prize for Elegance is the main style event with the most Elegant Lady being in with a chance of winning top prizes worth up to €25,000 on each day. And, with large cash incentives fuelling our creative ambitions, fashion stakes are seriously high. This has become a competition we just have to win.

The Longines Prize for Elegance is taking place on Saturday and Sunday at Leopardstown and the Curragh with Ingrid Hoey as the champion stylist on both days. This weekend, fashionistas are getting the chance to showcase their style and be in with a chance to win some great prizes. It’s serious business but what is the winning formula?

When it comes to winning racing style, Ingrid has divulged her top tips for the Prize for Elegance:

1. Go with your own style and wear something you love!

2. Good tailoring is a must – ensure your attire is well fitted and add some personality

3. Elegance should emulate from top to toe so attention to detail is essential.

4.  Make sure your footwear is comfortable as well as super stylish – it can be a long afternoon on your feet.

5. Most importantly – smile, have fun and enjoy your day at the races!

Winner 2016

Standing tall, beautiful and oozing confidence in her tailored jumpsuit and matching jacket, Anna Maguire took home last years prestigious Longines Prize for Elegance. Anna a dress designer from Rush, really was picture perfect. It seems that a little bit of personality in your outfit goes a long way.

And the secret is out…

It’s about your sparkly personality as much as it’s about your well thought out outfit so let your confidence shine. And, with that said we’re off to plan our winning ensemble for this weekend.

Now in its fourth year, Longines Irish Champions Weekend has firmly established itself as one of the leading racing fixtures in the Global racing calendar. For two days in September, the best in racing, style and entertainment can be found at two of the world’s leading race-courses, Leopardstown in County Dublin and The Curragh in County Kildare.
