There’s a new bikini trend in China… the only difference is, you wear it on your face.
Dubbed the face-kini, the material cloth aims to cover a swimmer’s entire head and neck down to the collar bones.
The newest online hit has been spotted by swimmers in the eastern Chinese city of Qingdao, with the masks being bright, colourful and including holes for the eyes in the masks.
As well as preventing tan lines, the face mask also stops the risk of a jellyfish sting and is sold in shops alongside full-body swimsuits.
The masks are believed to be so popular as Chinese culture favours paler skin.
Although we’re sure it’d stop some of our more embarrassing tan-lines we get from our three days of summer each year, we might leave this fashion trend out east.
