Try a statement wall Break up a boring monotonous room with a splash of colour and a statement wall. It's a great way to make a tiny apartment more exciting or section off an open plan room.
Put up a curtain It might sound silly but adding an interior curtain can completely change a room. It's a great way to separate different spaces or have a bit of privacy in a shared flat.
Mirror, mirror on the wall. Got a small space at home? Mirrors are a great way to open up a room and make it appear bigger than it actually is. If you want to try something different pick a few smaller mirrors and hang them grouped together like the picture below.
Mix it up Don't make the mistake of thinking that everything has to match, especially if it is your first house or apartment. Mismatch furniture such as a table and chairs can look really fab and also bring a lot of character to a room.
Go for gold Or copper or silver. Metallics are huge this season and a great way to add a bit of excitement to your room. Put a few metallic accessories or household items in your home to jazz the place up a bit.
This article is brought to you by Johnstone's Paint. Could your home do with a revamp? There is currently 2 for €32 on all Johnstone’s interior colours at Woodie’s so it is a great time to pick up some paint and take your home from drab to fab in time for the new year.
