The €25 Penneys coat that will be your new favourite thing on cold mornings

The weather has been a bit all over the place this week.

So, while we're not even halfway through August, we'll admit it: we're casting an eye to the warm, cosy autumn-winter wardrobe additions. Especially if they keep us warmer during the unpredictability of recent days. Enter this cosy-looking, €25 teddy bear-style coat from Penneys - which we reckon definitely fits the bill. Now, normally we would be big advocates for spending a decent bit of money on a good winter coat (if you can). After all, it's something you will wear for most of the colder days and months that makes up at least 70 per cent of your visible outfit. But sometimes, a really affordable retailer brings out a bargain that is just too good to resist. The coat is one of those layerable pieces that would match everything in our wardrobe. Meaning it can take it from those kind-of-cooler summer mornings to early fall, and even into winter. Basically, it's one we are going to be snapping up as soon as we can. The coat was included in the high street retailer's new AW19 collection, which includes a number of other must-have pieces. We are particularly loving this €16oversized shirt dress, which comes in two different prints: a yellow-and-black spotted one, as well as a black-and-white striped one. It's the perfect transitional piece which we can see ourselves reaching for again and again over the next few weeks.
