Kate Middleton’s marriage to Prince William was one of the most talked-about TV moments of 2011… THAT dress.
However, while we all gushed about the divine Alexander McQueen gown complete with stunning lace sleeves and a full skirt, her shoes were forgotten about.
However, it’s since come to light that the shoes were also designed by Sarah Burton, creative director of the successful fashion house.
As you’ll see below, the shoes were made of satin and featured intricate lace embroidery and they now accompany Kate’s dress, which is currently on display at Buckingham Palace.
It seems that the 35-year-old opted for a traditional bridal shoe, in keeping with her dress, rather than try a metallic hue or different colour, trends which are becoming very popular of late.

Kate’s second wedding dress also made headlines too when the Duchess of Cambridge chose a satin dress with embellished waist detail for the evening celebrations.
Dreamy.
