We’ve found your new winter boots and they’re hanging out in Topshop

Black, pointed-toe, eyelet detail, perfect heel height...all the key ingredients for a winter 2017 ankle boot.

Our boot wishlist grows longer by the day because they're the most appropriate footwear for Irish weather from now until February at least. We could complain about the unpredictable climate but we'll choose to focus on the positives and relish the opportunity to wear all the fab new winter boots. Current faves? These Topshop beauties, more specifically the HIP ankle boots which we have been lusting after all day, imagining all the outfits they can be worn with.

The good news is this basically means every item in your wardrobe from opaque tights and pinafore dresses/ leather leggings and cosy knits for winter. Better still, they'll look just as good going bare-legged and opting for a mini/floaty dress when spring rolls around again. We are sold and now that we've listed all the reasons you need them, we've definitely convinced many a trusty boot lover too. Just hurry because, like all good high-street buys, they won't stick around for very long...
