A woman claims she found a Penneys top for sale in Urban Outfitters

Laura Holland

This is mad.

A woman in Glasgow was shocked to find a Penneys top for sale in Urban Outfitters. She took a picture of the red check shirt and posted it to Twitter.

The shirt in question was for sale for £45 with the Penneys menswear brand Ceder Wood State on the collar.

People were shocked by the finding with one person saying, “I knew they were bad for doing stuff like that but Primark… I’m shook”.

The Sun reached out to the store who weren’t able to confirm how the item got there and are still determining if it was brought in for their vintage section.

A spokesperson for Urban Outfitters released the following statement:

“While we cannot authenticate the photo in question, we take all customer feedback very seriously.

We are determining whether the shirt was possibly obtained through a bulk purchase for our Urban Renewal Vintage and Remade program, through which our designers tailor vintage clothing and make each piece one-of-a-kind.

We are reviewing our limited UK Urban Renewal Vintage and Remade inventory, and any non-vintage pieces will immediately be pulled.”
