While it certainly feels like the movie came out just yesterday, 13 Going on 30 celebrates its 17th birthday this year.
What’s more, the film’s young star, who is 13 at the start of the movie, actually turned 30 this week.
That’s right, Christa B. Allen, who played 13-year-old Jenna Rink, celebrated her own 30th on 11 November, which absolutely blows our minds if we think about it for too long.
With that being said, it’s worthwhile to note how, since hitting our screens in 2004, some of the film’s fashion moments still live rent-free in our minds.
Who could forget the iconic multi-coloured dress worn by Jennifer Garner at the work party? Or the giant butterfly diamanté necklace she paired it with?
One fashion moment in particular has us green with envy, and that is, without a doubt, the slip dress Jenna accidentally wears into work when she wakes up to discover that, as per her wish, she’s 30, flirty and thriving.
Indeed, as Jenna realises that she’s aged 15 years in one night, she is naturally, in a bit of a fluster, and heads into her dream job at a fashion magazine wearing a delicate pink nightdress.
And she looks flawless, it has to be said.
