Adare Manor and Westbury Hotel included on Condé Nast Gold List 2020

No surprises there.

Limerick’s Adare Manor and Dublin’s Westbury Hotel have been included on this year’s Condé Nast Gold List.

The hotels appear on the list compiled from editors from the travel publication as two of the best resorts in the world.

“From the second you walk into The Westbury in Dublin and up the grand, bifurcated staircase, it’s hard not to be impressed,” reads the list.

“Settle into one of The Gallery’s plush armchairs for afternoon tea, grab a seat in The Sidecar for a perfect martini, or book a table at WILDE, an impeccable restaurant with a luxurious 1930s feel, for a full meal.”

Adare Manor received similar accolades from the publication, with its editors calling it a “thoroughly modern reinvention of a country escape.”

“This is a welcoming place without pretension—a remarkably understated lobby and check-in is pleasantly filled with a congenial mix of world travellers, in- and-outbound from Shannon’s international airport only 30 minutes away,” they said.

This comes after Adare Manor and Clare’s Dromoland Castle were named as the best hotels in Europe, as voted by Condé Nast readers.

The Westbury was also included on the list of best hotels.
