Tayto Park Zoo confirm reopening date this month

Melissa Carton

We can’t wait to go!

Last week we shared with you eight great places that will be reopening across Ireland on April 26, but one popular venue missing from that list was Tayto Park Zoo.

That’s because up until today Tayto Park had not revealed whether or not their zoo would be reopening this month.

Luckily they absolutely are, except rather than reopening next Monday April 26, Tayto Park Zoo will be reopening Friday April 30.

Many Tayto Park Zoo lovers (especially those with annual passes) have been waiting on bated breath to find out when they could get back in through the gates.

Unlike a lot of places that announced as soon as possible that they would be reopening, Tayto Park Zoo have been playing their cards close to their chest.

The Ashbourne-based attraction announced today that they will be welcoming visitors again in accordance with government guidelines and we can’t wait to visit!

Visitors will be able to see more than 300 animals from 80 different species along a variety of walks and trails.

For the time being entry to Tayto Park Zoo will be by pre-booked tickets only for designated time slots and the Tayto Park theme park attractions will remain closed until further notice.

Tayto Park Zoo will be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from April 30 to May 30, 10am to 6pm.

The zoo will be operating two available time slots 10am to 2pm and 2pm to 6pm and pre-booking is essential for day passes and membership holders to avail of a time slot.

For more information or to book tickets you can visit the Tayto Park website here.
