Ever been?

The world’s most liveable city for 2019, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit, has been revealed as Vienna, Austria.

For seven straight years, Melbourne ranked as number one, before it was replaced by Vienna in 2018, and Vienna has held on to that top spot for the second year in a row.

Vienna is known for its cultural events and beautiful architecture, but it topped the Economist Intelligence Unit’s list due to its almost perfect scores for stability, culture and environment, education and infrastructure, and health care.

Melbourne is still in at number two, while the rest of the top 10 was made up of Sydney, Osaka, Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, Tokyo, Copenhagen and Adelaide.

Meanwhile, Damascus in Syria was voted the least liveable city in the world, with the bottom 10 consisting of Lagos, Dhaka, Tripoli, Karachi, Port Moresby, Harare, Douala, Algiers and Caracas.

London and New York ranked at 48 and 58 respectively.

According to CNN, both scored highly in the culture department, but were brought down for their scores in infrastructure, stability, terrorism and crime.
