Ashley Cain’s baby girl nominated for Pride of Britain award

Thousands of people have nominated the eight month old for the prestigious award.

Azaylia, the eight month old daughter of reality star Ashley Cain has received thousands of nominations for the Pride of Britain Award.

The Azaylia Diamond Cain Journey to Fight Acute Myeloid Leukaemia Facebook page nominated the infant for the honour, along with the hashtags #letsgochamp and #littlelion.

The Ex On The Beach star has been sharing devastating insights into baby Azaylia’s battle with cancer. Together with his partner Safiyya Vorajee, Cain revealed that their daughter has just days to live.

The couple brought Azaylia home from the hospital on Friday in order to make her more comfortable. This morning, however, Ashley had to rush her to hospital as her heart rate “sky rocketed” to 200 beats per minute.

Cain shared a video of baby Azaylia in an ambulance en route to the hospital with the caption “come on baby”.

Saffiya has described these lat few days as “torture”. On her Instagram story, she updated fans on Azaylia’s condition:

“Currently waiting for her blood results to see if we can get her some antibiotics to treat any infections. I love & adore you sweet girl.

“Mummy & Daddy promised to give you our 100% from day 1 & we will keep to our word whatever you need we will do for you baby.”

Ashley’s friends and fans have organised a doorstep clap as a tribute for the baby.

Acknowledging the gesture, Saffiya said:

“I have been told today, there is an official doorstep clap that’s been organised for Azaylia tonight at 7pm. To this day, I am still amazed and overwhelmed at the amount of love and support for my beautiful daughter.”

She subsequently urged her followers to cherish their time with their loved ones:

“Your children, hold them closer and tighter because tomorrow is never promised for anybody. So enjoy today.”
