The couple are relishing every second with their beautiful daughter.

It’s everyone’s worst nightmare. Reality TV star Ashley Cain and partner Safiyya Vorajee recently revealed that their 8-month-old daughter Azaylia has just days to live, following a battle with leukemia.

The couple took Azaylia home from hospital last Friday to treasure the last of their time together, as Safiyya explains in a poignant Instagram update: “I just feel so blessed every single morning that I’m waking up with her and having her there to hold and to smile to and to sing one of our Jungle Book themed tunes to all day long. I just feel so happy that I can spend today with her and play and love her as much as I can and tell her how much I love her.”

Going on to explain how impossibly difficult it is she says, “It’s absolutely heart-breaking. This feels like torture. This stuff is so hard, but I’m just gonna make every day as happy, as fun, as playful as possible for her.”

The eight month old was rushed to hospital again this morning after her heart rate “sky rocketed” to 200 beats per minute.

Cain shared a video of baby Azaylia being treated by paramedics in an ambulance en route to the hospital with the caption “come on baby.”

Vorajee also shared an update on her Stories, saying: “Currently waiting for her blood results to see if we can get her some antibiotics to treat any infections. I love & adore you sweet girl.

“Mummy & Daddy promised to give you our 100% from day 1 & we will keep to our word whatever you need we will do for you baby.”

Azaylia’s story has touched the hearts of many. So much so, that friends and fans of Ashley have arranged a special tribute. “I have been told today, there is an official doorstep clap that’s been organised for Azaylia tonight at 7pm. To this day, I am still amazed and overwhelmed at the amount of love and support for my beautiful daughter.”

In a plea to her Instagram audience, Safiyya encouraged her followers to “appreciate all your loved ones, everybody that you love. Your children, hold them closer and tighter because tomorrow is never promised for anybody. So enjoy today.”

Sage advice indeed.
